Hague clock by Johannes van Ceulen circa 1700-1710. The cabinet is of a later date. The spring of the striking mechanism had burst and the energy that was released and had to go somewhere had caused quite a bit of damage. Especially the eight-day wheel. You can see the result of the damage and the repair in the photos below. The original spring was usable again after repair.
